Emerging Gloucestershire & Bristol folk-roots sensation, Dryadic, deliver an infectious blend of rootsy folk with a melodic pop flair on strings, keys and stomp, peppered with heart soaring vocals and vibrant fiddle licks. Their inimitable balance of trad, new, romantic, feel-good and rousing rhythms underpin candid lyrics, tenacious hooks and intoxicating vocals to masterfully command the most diverse audience.
Expect a rhythmical mix-up of stomping feminist protest songs to travelling folk tales to dreamy, epic ballads with candid, hilarious, queer lyrics and five-string fiddles with oversized (double) bass guitars do-si-do-ing with the audience! Having built a reputation for compelling live shows, Dryadic has captivated audiences at venues and festivals across the UK, from Glastonbury’s Avalon Stage to Brighton Pride. With performances alongside folk luminaries like Grace Petrie, O’Hooley & Tidow and Heather Peace, Dryadic’s presence is both magnetic and purposeful, engaging listeners through both the music and the inclusive atmosphere created.
Dryadic members joining leader and song-writer Zora McDonald on guitar, stomp and piano, are Aly Rainey on fiddle and George Pearson on double bass.
